About Me
It all started with....a white rose. At my wedding. And it’s grown from there.
I got married in March 2011 at Fulham Palace, London. I’ve always had a creative streak and for some reason, despite having no real experience in the area, I decided I wanted to do my own flowers. Not real flowers, no, I was determined to use silk flowers. I’m still not sure where this desire stemmed from (no pun intended) but since then I have realised that I have been decorating my home using artificial flowers for a long time. This is mainly as I am useless at keeping real flowers and plants alive - that’s one major benefit of silk flowers. They can’t be killed.
My wedding flowers were a huge success and I still receive a lot of compliments about them. That’s another benefit of using silk flowers – I gifted my floral centrepieces to key wedding party guests (mum, mum-in-law, bridesmaid etc) so that they could have a souvenir from the day. They receive compliments on them as they have it proudly displayed in their homes. Since then I have created centrepieces and bouquets for my brother’s wedding at Wiltons Music Hall.
I love silk flowers as, well, I can’t kill them and they are easy to maintain but also as I’m a hayfever sufferer and it means I can have beautiful flowers in the house without risking an allergic reaction. Therefore I have created a range of floral creations that will create memories, last a long time, are available all year round and can easily be arranged to match the colours in your home. Where necessary, I select and use flowers in my arrangements that look like real flowers. Some of my creations are deliberately decorative and their impact is less about looking like real flowers but more about their visual and artistic beauty.
Our daughter was born in February 2012 and seeing all the types of baby gifts available, I came up with another way of using the flowers in a different way – recording a baby’s name and date of birth in a frame. Buttons for boys. Although I’m happy to use flowers for boys’ names!
I have also created a range of framed floral creations that will look pretty in your home such as a heart out of red roses or a pretty butterfly.
I enjoy designing and making my floral creations and I hope you enjoy them too.
